VNA was founded in 1965 as a volunteer, community-based nonprofit home health care organization. Dedicated to providing care to patients of all ages regardless of their ability to pay, VNA serves communities throughout western Pennsylvania, including Butler, Armstrong and northwestern Westmoreland Counties as well as portions of surrounding counties.
The area’s first community-based hospice service provider and the first in the nation to receive both Medicare certification and Joint Commission accreditation, VNA Hospice has received national recognition for our total commitment to quality, ethical practices, community involvement and innovation.
In addition to hospice, our services include nursing, personal care aides, medical equipment, remote health monitoring, emergency response system, private duty, health screening and wellness promotion.
